Last updated: 13 October 2026. Version 1.
MC Plus is provided by First Light Movers Limited ("we", "us"), trading as MC Web Studio, New Zealand. By creating an account or using MC Plus you agree to these terms for yourself and for the business you sign up. If you do not agree, do not use MC Plus.
MC Plus is business software for leads, quotes, jobs, invoices, staff hours and related tools, available on the web and in phone apps. Features depend on your plan. We may improve or change the service. We will not remove a feature that is part of the plan you are paying for without at least 30 days' notice, and if a change makes the service materially worse for you, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of what you have prepaid.
You must give accurate details, keep your password safe and tell us promptly if you think someone else has your login. The person who creates a business is its owner and is responsible for who they add to it, what roles they give, and what they enter. You confirm you are acquiring MC Plus for the purposes of a business, and that you can form a binding contract.
New businesses get a 14 day free trial. A payment method is needed to start it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your plan starts and you are charged each month (or each year, if you chose yearly) on the same date until you cancel. Prices are shown excluding GST. GST is added where it applies. If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the store sets and collects the price, which includes the store's fees, and the store's refund and cancellation rules apply.
You can change plan at any time. An upgrade is charged for the rest of the billing period at the difference. A downgrade applies straight away and the difference is credited to your next invoice. You can cancel at any time in the app and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Except where the law requires it, or as set out in section 1, we do not refund part periods.
We will give at least 30 days' written notice before a price increase takes effect for you. If you do not want to pay the new price you may cancel before it takes effect and will not be charged it.
If a payment fails we will try again and warn you. After a grace period of 7 days the business is paused: its data is kept but no one can open it, and new enquiries from your website are not collected, until payment is fixed.
You are responsible for the information about your own customers and staff that you put into MC Plus, and for having the right to use it, including permission to send them messages (see the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007) and keeping to the Privacy Act 2020. Texts use prepaid credits that you buy. Unused credits do not expire while your business is active, and are non-refundable except where the law requires it. Customers who reply STOP, or use the unsubscribe link, are switched off automatically and you must not message them by other means through MC Plus.
Your data stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it to run the service for you, and for no other purpose. You can export it or delete your business at any time in Settings. We store your data with Google Cloud in Sydney, Australia. If a business has not been paid for, we keep its data for about 150 days, send the owner a final notice, and delete it 30 days after that. Backups may keep deleted data for a short time before they expire. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.
Pay summaries, GST figures, profit figures and leave balances in MC Plus are tools to help you check your records. They are based on what you and your team enter. They are not payroll, tax, legal or accounting advice and do not replace your accountant, Xero, or your obligations as an employer or as a taxpayer. You must check them before relying on them. You remain responsible for keeping the business records that the law requires you to keep, including tax records, and for keeping your own copy of anything important.
Do not misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempts to break into other businesses' data, no sending spam, no overloading the system, no reselling access without our written agreement.
The AI helper in MC Plus uses Anthropic's Claude models. Its answers, quotes and drafts are suggestions that can be wrong: you must check them before you save, send or rely on them, and you remain responsible for anything you approve. MC Plus connects to services such as Stripe (card payments), Xero (accounting), Apple and Google (app stores), and Google Cloud (hosting). Those services have their own terms. Card payments from your customers are processed by Stripe on your own Stripe account; we do not hold your customers' money. We are not responsible for the outages or changes of services we do not control.
We aim to keep MC Plus running but do not promise it will always be available or error free. We will tell you promptly about problems that affect your data. Support is by email at info@mcwebstudio.co.nz and we aim to reply within 2 working days.
MC Plus is supplied for business use. You and we are both in trade, and we agree that, as far as the law allows, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and sections 9, 12A and 13 of the Fair Trading Act 1986 do not apply to this agreement. We consider this fair and reasonable. Our total liability to you for all claims in connection with MC Plus is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profit, or indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by your own entries, your own errors, or by third-party services. None of this limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
You can stop at any time. We may suspend or end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or for non-payment as described above, and will tell you why and give you a reasonable chance to fix it where we can. If we end your account other than for your breach, we will refund the unused part of what you have prepaid. After an account ends you can ask for an export of your data for 30 days.
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice and ask you to accept the new version. If you do not accept, you may cancel before the change takes effect and receive a refund of the unused part of what you have prepaid. These terms are governed by New Zealand law. If we cannot sort out a dispute by talking, the courts of New Zealand have jurisdiction.
These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are our whole agreement. If part of them is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Neither of us is liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. You may not transfer your account to someone else without our written agreement, except by using Make owner in Team: the new owner must accept in writing (by email) and so agrees to these terms, and until they accept nothing changes.
